If your map download was interrupted you can resume downloading. How downloading is resumed depends on the software used for connecting to your TomTom navigation device:

The MyTomTom support application downloads your map in the background. You can check the progress of your download in the support application.
In Windows, click the TomTom logo in the notification area in the bottom right of the screen to open the MyTomTom support application. On a Mac, click the TomTom logo in the Apple menu bar in the top right of the screen to open the MyTomTom support application.
The TomTom logo changes to show the download status:
new item is available or item is downloading
no items available for download
If you shut down your computer before the download was completed, the MyTomTom support application will continue downloading the map when you restart your computer and connect to the internet again.

- The support application does not automatically start to download the map after you have restarted your computer and connected to the internet.
- The download fails and an error message is displayed.
- The download freezes.
- The download appears complete but the installation of the map does not start.
To empty the cache in the MyTomTom support application, do the following:
- Click the TomTom logo in the system tray (Windows) or the menu bar (Mac) then select Settings.
- Select the Cache tab.
