Is this update for me?

* TomTom Navigator on the Treo 650: The Phone feature of the Treo 650 must be switched off while using TomTom Navigator. If a call is taken or made while TomTom Navigator is in use you will have to restart it and replan the route.

This update should be installed if you have:
- TomTom Navigator v4.0 or later for palmOne.

This update does not apply to the following:
- This update cannot be used with TomTom Navigator for PocketPC.
- This update cannot be used with TomTom GO/ONE/RIDER.
- This update cannot be used with TomTom MOBILE.

Please note the following before you proceed with the update:
- You do not need to uninstall your current version.
- On an empty machine (e.g. out of the box, or after a hard reset), you do need to install TomTom Navigator 4.0/4.1 for PalmOS from the original CD(s) before you install this update.
- Voices must be installed to the same location as the application.
- You will not need to re-activate your software.

Important post installation notes:

- After installation, the application will start from SD memory card.

- Maps must be installed to the SD memory card.

- The current CD installer will still only able to see the main memory and Internal storage of the Tungsten T5. To install a map to an SD memory card the following alternative methods are available:

1) If you operate the Tungsten T5 in "Drive Mode" its memory resources will appear as removable drives on the PC. To switch "Drive Mode" ON access the Applications launcher. Select Drive Mode, select Turn Drive Mode On

2) The CD installer can install a map directly to an SD memory card via a memory card reader attached to the PC by selecting the "Other location (Advanced)" option. SD memory card readers are available from most consumer electronics stores.

How do I install the update?

Step 1. Download the update file

Press the button Download below to start downloading the update. Save the file to your computer first by selecting Save when prompted. Save the file in a place where you can easily find it again for step 3 of the installation, e.g. on the Desktop or in My Documents.

Note:When your internet connection does not allow you to download the EXE file: use the Download ZIP to install the update.

Extract all files to save on your PC and click on setup.exe.

Step 2. Connect your device to the PC with HotSync©
HotSync© is active on your PC when the icon underneath is shown at the taskbar of your computer. When HotSync© is not active on you PC, refer to your PDA manual to do so.

Step 3. Unpack and start installation
Double-click setup.exe; the installation will start. Please be patient, this might take a few minutes.

Step 4. Install the update

To install it on an expansion card, select Palm-Powered Handheld (Storage Card), and then select SD Card Internal.

How can I check the version number of TomTom Navigator?
In TomTom Navigator menu, select Change Preferences and select About Navigator.
