Answer

Missing guides

If your TomTom device did not have application and map version 7 preinstalled, the First Aid guide and Other guides will not contain any data.

To make use of these safety options, follow these steps.

  1. Click on the Download button below and save the helpme.zip (2.29 MB) file to the desktop of your computer.

  2. Connect your TomTom device to your computer.

  3. Extract the contents of the downloaded file to the desktop of your computer. You will now have a folder named ‘helpme’ on your desktop.

  4. Copy this ‘helpme’ folder to the root directory of your TomTom device (do not copy it into an existing folder).

Missing destinations

The Help me! menu uses Points of Interest (POI) to locate the nearest police station, pharmacy or doctor.

Some POI categories were not available in all countries until recently. As a result, your device might show the message ‘No POI found’ when selecting a certain category in the Help me! menu, depending on where you are. Those POIs can now be downloaded separately.

Note:
The files offered in this article are only compatible with map version 7.05 or higher.
